Who We Are
The Greater Marion County Manufacturers Association (GMCMA) is an organization composed of manufacturing industry leaders in the greater Marion County region who are committed to accessing information, products, and services that will allow them to operate more efficiently in today’s competitive business atmosphere. Membership is open to any manufacturers in Marion County and the surrounding area. Our meetings are intended to be a time of sharing ideas, motivation, networking and professional development.
To share best policies and practices that will increase the skills of our workforce, develop a culture of safety, and improve working conditions, thus enabling us to attract and retain great talent for each of our organizations in the greater Marion County region.
The GMCMA is a network of industry leaders and organizations dedicated to enhancing the economic growth of Marion County and the surrounding region. With a focus on Workforce Development, Education, and Infrastructure, the GMCMA is committed to the overall success of Marion County, its citizens, and its industries.
The GMCMA was created in 2016 in response to requests made by local industry leaders. The Sequachee Valley Electric Cooperative (SVEC) has agreed to assist the association with monetary support for meetings, speakers, etc. The Economic & Workforce Development staff of Chattanooga State Community College will assume organizational oversight duties for the group and manage communication, minute keeping, scheduling, etc.
The GMCMA is a non-profit association and no dues or fees are required for membership. Meetings are open to all manufacturing employers in Marion County and the surround region. Lunch and speakers are sponsored by the SVEC. Co-Chairs are elected by the members yearly and are required to conduct meetings. All administrative duties are performed by Chattanooga State Economic & Workforce Development staff.
